Vestibular Therapy

Vestibular Therapy is a specialized branch of physical therapy that uses manual techniques and movement exercises to reduce or eliminate dizziness, vertigo, and balance issues.

After determining whether the issue is central (brain-related) or peripheral (inner-ear-related), your doctor may recommend physical therapy, specifically Vestibular Therapy, as part of your treatment plan. However, not all forms of dizziness can be treated with Vestibular Therapy, and it’s crucial for your doctor to rule out serious conditions requiring other medical interventions.

Vestibular Therapy can address conditions such as dizziness following a stroke, inner ear infections (Labyrinthitis and Neuronitis), Meniere’s Disease, Acoustic Neuromas, and Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV). BPPV, a common type of vertigo triggered by positional changes like lying down or rolling over. It may resolve entirely with just one or two treatments.
